After earning her Kinesiology degree from the University of Alberta in 2013, she spent several years working in the not-for-profit sector, where she developed a deep commitment to helping people live healthier, more fulfilling lives. Her passion for whole-body wellness eventually led her to Davenport, Iowa, where she earned her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the prestigious Palmer College of Chiropractic in 2020.
Dr. Sydney offers a range of chiropractic techniques tailored to your comfort level and health goals. She is highly skilled in traditional manual adjustments as well as gentler approaches, including Sacro-Occipital Technique (SOT) and Activator Technique. My Element
The element I most identify with is Earth—steady, grounded, and deeply connected to nature. I feel most at home outdoors, surrounded by trees, fresh air, and open skies. Nature keeps me centered, and it’s where I find the clarity and energy that I bring into my work every day. Now more than ever, I’m excited to put down roots in this community and grow both personally and professionally alongside the people I serve.
I truly come alive when I’m surrounded by the people I care about, sharing in experiences that are active, meaningful, and joy-filled. Whether it’s hiking a new trail, camping with loved ones, or simply connecting with others in a shared pursuit of wellness, those are the moments that energize me—and they inspire the way I care for my patients.

It is a core belief of mine that when we feel good in our bodies, we are able to interact with the world around us in positive and meaningful ways. Since graduating in 2018, I’ve enjoyed working with new and chronic injuries as well as patients with chronic pain to help improve their quality of life. I recognize that relieving pain involves both treating the body and soothing the nervous system, which is why I try to create a safe, warm, and nurturing space for my patients.
Aside from massage, I teach yoga and enjoy crochet, video games, and spending time outside in the warm months.
I am most in my element when I’m following my passions and doing what brings me joy.

My element is a blended mix of water & earth. I am a calm personality and I thrive on consistency and logic. I am a graduate of the University of Alberta, holding a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy and GUNN IMS Certification.
I have spent the past 25 years working in a mix of Private Practice, Hospital-based and Home Care Physiotherapy. This has given me a unique perspective on client health across times of injury, aging and sickness. I really enjoy working with seniors to achieve wellness in aging.
Taking time to properly evaluate my client’s concerns is key to achieving their goals. The treatment model we offer at Elements Health is how I have achieved the best successes for my clients.
Outside of Work
My time outside of work is busy with 3 children who are now crossing the bridge from teenagers into young adulthood. When the kids are busy with life, my big furry Mountain dog is a great companion. I enjoy keeping fit at the gym, skiing, exploring new hiking trails & gardening.
My motto in life is “Be the Best you can Be” and that is my wish for each and every client I work with.

I offer compassionate counselling rooted in Indigenous values, holistic wellness, and lived experience. I work with youth (10+), adults, and families navigating trauma, neurodivergence, systemic oppression, and life’s challenges. My approach is neurodivergence-affirming, trauma-informed, guided by Indigenous ethics and healing approaches, and founded in good relationships, compassion, and respect.
About Me
I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Native Studies from the University of Alberta and an Indigenous Master of Social Work (IMSW) from the University nuhelot’įne thaiyots’į nistameyimâkanak Blue Quills. My ongoing learning continues to come from Elders, Knowledge Keepers, and ceremony. As an AuDHD person and mother to a multiply disabled teen, I bring not only clinical knowledge but also lived experience, empathy, and advocacy to my work. I am honoured to walk alongside individuals and families as they navigate their healing journeys.
Therapeutic Focus & Specialties
My work is rooted in family systems therapy and holistic, strengths-based care. I support those navigating:
Intergenerational and complex trauma, ADHD and Autism (neurodivergence-affirming), depression, anxiety, and chronic stress, addiction and recovery, grief and loss, chronic illness and disability, systemic oppression, racism, and ableism, and family relationships.
Modalities & Approaches
I offer culturally and spiritually sensitive sessions tailored to each client’s needs. Modalities include: Indigenous Focusing-Oriented Therapy (IFOT), EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), Mindfulness-Based Therapy, Attachment-Based Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Land-Based Relational Healing Practices.
In My Element
I feel most connected and grounded when I am near water. In my Indigenous MSW studies, I learned that water is a sacred healer and emotional processor. Like the elements of fire, earth, and air, water plays a vital role in maintaining balance across the four realms of wellness: spiritual, emotional, physical, and mental. This elemental balance deeply informs my practice and personal well-being.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) you learn that good health isn’t only the absence of illnesses and diseases in one’s body, but the complete physical, mental and emotional well-being of an individual. I work to help people find balance within these aspects to achieve optimal health.
I first began my education within the biomedical sciences but was drawn to TCM due to the values placed on treating the body as a whole. While there may be imbalances going on the require more attention, TCM allows me to ensure that all concerns are recognized when I am treating my patients. This not only gives me the opportunity to find lasting solutions but gives those who are being treated by me a voice within their own healing.
Acupuncture is a great therapy that can help treat an abundance of concerns. I have had great success in treating chronic pain, sports injuries, PCOS, anxiety, allergies, IBS, nicotine dependence and insomnia to name a few. I enjoy making people feel better, so I enjoy treating all conditions.
I have been a resident of the Tri-Region for most of my life. I am an active volunteer with boards and community initiatives within Spruce Grove and the Tri-Region.
In Her Element: The element I most identify with is earth. The qualities I have that represent this element are dependability, compassion and logical thinking. I am most in my element when I am caring for patients or out in the woods – enjoying nature with my dogs.
